A relaxing experience in the Karst of Trieste
Dren means cornel in English and it’s a local plant, widespread in the area. The name was chosen because cornel represents the strong bond between the territory and the Škerk family, which has lived in Prepotto for generations, trying to keep traditions alive. Until a few years ago, the Škerk family used to run an osmizza, a tavern of Austro-Hungarian origin where home-made products such as wine and cold cuts were sold.

Home Dren is now divided into two independent apartments, carefully furnished and designed to offer comfort and tranquility. They can be rented separately or together, for those who wish to enjoy the house exclusively. The property includes a total of four bedrooms: two double rooms and two with single beds that can be converted into doubles if needed. There are four full bathrooms, one of which is spacious and suitable for people with reduced mobility. Common areas include a cozy lounge with armchairs and TV, a bright mezzanine, a laundry room with washer and dryer, and two fully equipped kitchens with dining areas.
Outside, a typical Karst garden with table, chairs, and barbecue offers moments of conviviality and peaceful contact with nature.
Home Dren can accommodate up to 9 guests and is the ideal choice for those seeking to relax in an authentic setting, surrounded by hills, vineyards, and restorative silence.
